The President’s Cup 2011 Tournament is in its 2^nd year. Ramon Padiernos, FTC Singapore President and Managing Director of Gemalto, and Century Properties are the major sponsors of the event.

The Tournament Committee, spearheaded by Eric Gutierrez and his team (Joey Salvador, Egwin Agawin, Mon Red, Shan Andes, Ronnie Ruanto, Raul Alenton and other key FTC officers working behind the scenes) made this much-anticipated event a success.

Despite the delay — due to inclement weather, no court bookings, and non-availability of some players – the enthusiasm and patience of about 70-80 tennis players in various doubles categories (class A, B, C and mixed doubles) made it possible to complete the matches.

This year, champions in each category received $200 prize money on top of the beautiful trophies and raffle draw prizes. FTC also initiated the AceShot 2011 Photo Competition and the Committee is still deciding on the winners (watch out for the update shortly!). Thanks to all the members and their supporters during the matches and the awarding ceremony for the continued support.

The STA Interclub Doubles League has started and FTC has fielded 3 men’s teams in Class A, C and D. FTC will also do its bit to the Filipino community by helping our ‘kababayan-in-need’ on 25^th Nov.  Mark this date!
