FTC’s desire to provide an avenue for play and camaraderie during the May long weekend, the Tennis Committee headed by Mon Red and team members (Ariel Alfelor, Richard Soliven, Eric Gutierrez, Ernie Sabigan, Raymond Palomares, Ronnie Ruanto, Dexter Salie, Boyet Anonuevo, Raul Alenton & Mighty Blanco) decided to organize a two-day tournament. This event is highly subscribed with about 190 participants (Filipinos, Singaporeans, Indians, Japanese, etc) competing in both singles and doubles categories (levels A, B1, B2 and C).
Through the Tennis Committee’s contacts, FTC managed to clinch sponsors for this event. FTC would like to express its gratitude to the following sponsors:

During the awarding ceremony on 2nd May, key executives of PLDT (GM, Rey Yu), PNB (GM, Rodel Bicol) and HeadStart Consultancy Services (MD, Roland Pagdanganan) are on hand to give their support. It was announced by Rodel Bicol that all bonafide FTC members will be given special rates on their remittances to the Philippines if they use PNB (Contacts: Romulo Rodel Bicol or Cristy Vicentina, Treasury-Chief Dealer). Roland Pagdanganan also encouraged FTC members to invest in Shoe Mart-affiliated condominiums and preferential packages will be given to members (Contact: Jenelyn Prado).
